This heartbreaking incident has caused immense distress to worshippers, families, and the broader community. Places of worship are sacred spaces of refuge, prayer, and communal strength, and any tragedy within such a space touches us all profoundly.
We extend our thoughts, prayers, and solidarity to all those affected by this incident. We sincerely hope and pray that everyone impacted will be assisted swiftly and brought to safety, and that those who may have sustained injuries receive urgent and comprehensive medical care.
The CRL Rights Commission commends the emergency services, first responders, and community members who have acted with urgency and compassion during this difficult time. We trust that all relevant authorities will conduct the necessary assessments and investigations to ensure safety, accountability, and the prevention of similar tragedies in the future.
